Itinerary
Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will embark on a scenic 5-hour drive to Bhalukpong, where you can check into your hotel and unwind before venturing out to explore the local area and enjoy a delightful dinner.
After enjoying breakfast, you will visit the Tipi Orchidarium, which boasts over 500 species of orchids and features a stunning orchid glass house, a museum, and beautiful gardens. Following your exploration, you will proceed to Dirang, a journey of approximately 4 hours, where you can visit the Dirang Dzong and take in the breathtaking scenery of Dirang Valley before settling in for an overnight stay in Dirang.
Departing for Tawang via Sela Pass, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the Eastern Himalayas throughout your journey. A stop at Madhuri Lake allows for picturesque photo opportunities in this serene location. Upon your arrival in Tawang, you can check into your hotel and enjoy the evening free for leisure activities or local exploration.
During your visit, explore Tawang Monastery, one of the largest in India, where you can admire its stunning architecture and spiritual ambiance. Afterward, wander through the local markets to shop for unique Tibetan handicrafts. A trip to Bumla Pass at the Indo-China border offers breathtaking mountain views before returning to Tawang for a relaxing overnight stay.
After breakfast, depart for Bomdila, enjoying a scenic 6-hour drive. En route, visit the stunning Nuranang Falls, known for its breathtaking beauty and cultural significance, followed by a stop at the Bomdila Monastery, which offers a glimpse into the region's spiritual heritage. Upon arrival in Bomdila, check into your hotel to relax, and spend your evening exploring the local markets at leisure.
After breakfast, depart for Guwahati, a journey of approximately 8 hours. Upon arrival, visit the famous Kamakhya Temple, one of the largest Shakti shrines in India, located on Nilachal Hills and renowned for its spiritual significance and stunning architecture12. If time permits, enjoy a boat ride on the Brahmaputra River before checking into your hotel in Guwahati, where the evening is free for relaxation.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey. The airport, located about 28 km from the city center, is the primary gateway for flights in Northeast India, while the Guwahati Railway Station, situated in the heart of the city, serves as a key hub for rail travel in the region
